Hoop It Up Reaches Sanctioning Agreement with FIBA3x3

Hoop It Up reaches sanctioning agreement with FIBA3x3

Hoop It Up, the iconic 3x3 basketball tour owned by NBA legend Kevin Garnett, has announced an agreement with FIBA to host FIBA 3x3 endorsed events as part of the 2021 Hoop It Up Pro-Am championships. The Hoop It Up Pro Am competition consists of over 40 licensed clubs as well as qualifiers from local Hoop It Up tournaments and leagues. The 2021 Hoop It Up Pro Am National Champion will receive an automatic berth to compete in a FIBA 3x3 World Tour Masters featuring the best 3x3 teams in the World. In addition, teams and players registered for the Hoop It Up Pro-Am will be earning FIBA 3x3 ranking points which can help the United States and Canada climb up the FIBA 3x3 Federation Ranking and qualify for the FIBA 3x3 World Cup and the Olympic Games.

Hoop It Up has always been at the forefront of the 3x3 basketball revolution and now for the first time ever, 3x3 basketball will be an Olympic discipline as it debuts this summer at the Tokyo Olympics.

Hoop It Up National Director Dan Cramer: “FIBA 3x3 is a natural partner for Hoop It Up. We are excited about the opportunity to have Hoop It Up events endorsed by FIBA 3x3. This truly provides our teams an opportunity to play their way from the streets to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour.”

FIBA 3x3 Managing Director Alex Sanchez: “It means a lot to FIBA to have an iconic brand like Hoop It Up on the road to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour. This is a great opportunity for us to grow the game of 3x3 together in the United States.”
